Our Mission
Our School Vision & Mission
We decided that we wanted to include our virtues in our Vision and Mission statement. In order to review and renew it, we asked staff, pupils, parents and governors what they liked about the old statement, what they wanted to change and importantly, what kind of school they wanted us to be!
Overwhelmingly, everyone wanted to keep the mission the same: Learning with Jesus, to be the best we can be!
The children also wanted to keep our long standing school motto: love, care, share.
After consulting everyone, a working party made up of staff, parents, a governor and pupil representatives re-wrote the new Vision and Mission. We wanted to include the virtues and tie it altogether. We wanted it to be rooted in Bible tradition but also reflect our school. The children chose Bible references they felt illustrated our motto and we linked these to virtues such as love (of self, each other, of learning), caring for each other and our environment (responsible citizenship, respecting self, others and other faiths) and sharing (reflecting our service of others, our kindness).
